Voyager Ambi

The narrow-aisle chair for an onboard emergency.

The Voyager Ambi is a narrow transfer chair — just 405 mm wide — built to evacuate a passenger from an aircraft, boat, or train when a health emergency happens onboard. It descends stairs under the control of a single operator and can be lifted over obstructions by a team.

Narrow evacuation transfer chair · 405 mm

It is designed and manufactured in the UK by Paraid. Outpost supplies the Voyager range to US airline stations, ground handlers, and airport authorities.

How it works

A self-braking friction-belt system lets one operator control a smooth stair descent, while foldable front and rear grab handles allow up to four people to lift the chair over obstructions. A kickstand with rear braking castor wheels holds position on flat ground, and cushioned head, back, and seat support keep the passenger secure.
