The HALO Ultra is the heavy-duty, bariatric-capable chair in the range, rated for passenger payloads up to 500 lb / 227 kg. A reinforced build, large 4-inch castors, and a zipped hammock seat make it the right chair when a standard evacuation chair's capacity isn't enough.
It descends on the same proven self-braking track as the Swift, with front grab-handles so a second operator can assist with heavier passengers.
The operator guides the chair down the stairs on large 4-inch castors while the self-braking track controls the speed and smoothness of descent. The footrest doubles as a front grab-handle and additional front handles let a second person assist — recommended for heavier passengers. On flat terrain, the kickstand and rear wheels deploy for rolling transport.
